I am thinking of going the big spend on the Roland VAD706 and adding an additional Yamaha floor tom with a ddt mesh head and trigger to the setup, I also have a JOBEKY cowbel. I am working in studios a long time and know my way around these modules threshold settings etc. I currently have a MusicStore own brand FAME top of the range e kit which is not too bad but still not great. In a different Pro studio in the early '90's we converted a Yamaha kit with stick on triggers and ran it into a very early Alesis moduIe (SR 16 I think) and over-dubbed the real hats and cymbals later. Drummers I have had in studio doing session work thought the same. These all plugged into an Alesis i/o which fed midi to Addictive Drums 1 and 2 but was never totally happy with the results.
